Mondo Vino began in 1998 and was bought in late 2002 by Ron Needle. Ron is a 27 year trade veteran with firsthand experience in restaurants, retail, distribution and wine importation. Mondo’s belief in good people working together to bring great value to their customers has helped establish a 20% annual business growth rate for the company and their cooperative business strategy with their clients has helped create solid bottom line numbers for all involved. Mondo Vino’s import arm looks for wines that represent great value for the dollar and is well represented by the Villa Romanti Italian wines, Pierre Henri Morel Rhone, Domaine de Blanes Rousillon and Fattoria Fibbiano Tuscan.
Since there are 3 CSW’s in the company and over 75 years of accumulated trade experience, Mondo understands that the wines you sell everyday are the heart of both our businesses, but they better be good if you want people coming back. Thus Mondo prides themselves in presenting their customers such everyday sale wines as McManis Family Vineyards, Insatiable, Chime, J. Simon, Sun Garden, Our Daily Red, Viu Manent, and Paul Hobbs’ Saurus,. And for your special customer such wines as Fritz, Fulcrum, Drew, Londer, Chateau Haut-Brions’ Clarendelle, J.Bookwalter and other highly acclaimed wines.
Situated in an 11,000 square foot climate controlled warehouse in Rosedale, Maryland, the company serves Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. This location, situated just minutes from I95 and I695 allows the company’s air conditioned delivery vehicles easy access to get anywhere in our service area quickly, thereby getting our wines to our on and off-premise customers in excellent condition.
